Rachel Johnson-Burnett is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, where she received her degree in gender studies and dance. A Minneapolis native, she began dancing at age three and continued at a local competition dance studio before dancing with the Gustavus Dance Company from 2009-2013.
She has studied extensively with Melissa Rolnick, Stephan Koplowitz, Jeffrey Peterson, Michele Rusinko, and Sarah Hauss; dance has also brought her around the world to both New Zealand and Italy. In 2013, she performed at the American College Dance Festival and was selected for the Distinguished Dance Award at Gustavus because of her contributions to dance over the past four years.
She is currently dancing for various artists around the Twin Cities and continuing her training through schools such as Zenon. Rachel is excited to join the team at 4th Street and is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and love of dance with her students.
