Senior assistant instructor
Maxine has been dancing at 4th Street since she was 7 years old. She has competed in the Shimmering Stars, Shooting Stars, Shining Stars and Stars lines as well as the competition Hip Hop teams and multiple specialty numbers. Her solos have ranked in the top 10 at a national level and she has won many awards at 4th Street recognizing her dedication and leadership skills. During the 2012-2013 season (her senior year) she was voted team captain by her classmates.
Since graduating, Maxine has moved to an apartment in St.Paul. She is continuing her acedemic journey at Saint Paul College and plans on transferring to the university of Minnesota, Twin Cities to minor in dance. When she's not studying, she's at the studio working as one of the assistants. Maxine has been assisting with all ages, technique levels and types of dance since she was 15. This year, you will most likely find her in the ballet room assisting technique classes.
Being such a young member of the 4th Street staff, Maxine hopes to inspire her fellow dancers to keep working hard and have a positive attitude. She doesn't just want to teach, but she wants to be a relatable and trustworthy role model for the dancers in and outside of the studio. With so many new changes in her life, Maxine loves the "at home" feeling of family she has at 4th Street and is so thankful to be a part of it!
